The Glass Ceiling of Expectations

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

While we usually focus on the physical needs of orphans, there is a psychological challenge growing in the shadows: The "Low Ceiling of Expectations."

Orphans in displacement zones often suffer from "Limited Professional Identity." In the absence of a guiding paternal figure and due to a society that views orphans merely as "aid recipients," these children begin to believe their dreams must be small. They often feel that survival is the ultimate success, causing them to shy away from ambitious careers like entrepreneurship or high-tech science.

We break this ceiling through our "Ambition Restoration" methodology:

  • Academic & Career Counseling: Helping orphans build a professional identity that sees them as future leaders, not permanent beneficiaries.

  • Mentorship: Connecting them with global experts to show them that the path to global success is open to them.

  • Entrepreneurship Programs (like Forsati): Planting the seed that they are "opportunity creators."

Our Donors on GlobalGiving, your support is breaking the glass ceilings surrounding these children's dreams. You are funding the "Right to Dream Big." Thank you for helping them realize that "Orphan" is a social status, not a professional destiny.
