When Selma starts talking, you can instantly see her poise and self-assured demeanor, it’s no surprise that she’s studying to be a journalist. Selma is currently pursuing a degree in Mass Communication at Fourah Bay College, a crucial step towards her goal of a career in front of the camera.
Selma shares her gratitude for the mentoring sessions she has attended, saying, “I'm very much appreciative of Develop Africa and all the language skills, the sessions on self-esteem and self-development, because that helps us build ourselves emotionally and physically and helps us learn important things about life.”
Your support makes these mentoring sessions possible and contributes to the broader mission of supporting girls' education. Educated and confident girls like Selma are more likely to become leaders and changemakers.
Together, we can continue to break down barriers and create opportunities for girls to thrive academically and beyond. If you are not yet a recurring donor and would like to make a greater impact, you can set up a recurring donation here.

Warm regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
