Theresa's Journey- Then & Now

Project Supporters,

We are truly grateful for every donation and supporter of these young ladies, like Theresa, in Freetown.  We are so thankful to be a part of her story.

Then in 2015:

Theresa found out about Develop Africa back in 2015 when she became pregnant during the Ebola Outbreak.  Girls who were visibly pregnant were not allowed to go back to school.  To help with this, Develop Africa opened the Creating Pathways Centre, which was set up to help girls like Theresa.

Theresa started attending Creating Pathways Centre and from there was able to complete her high school education, take computer classes, and then enter college.

Now in 2021:

We are delighted to announce that Theresa just graduated this past month with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health.  This was made possible by generous donors who have helped Theresa on her journey to get her education. Theresa expressed her deep gratitude for all the support she has received.

Theresa is currently doing an internship with Develop Africa in the Sierra Leone office. She is working as an Assistant Program Officer.  She is eager to give back to Develop Africa and help mentor more girls.

Your support is truly changing not only the individual girls' lives but also the entire nation. Our recurring donors are making a continuous impact and we are truly grateful for the ongoing support.

If you are not yet a recurring donor, we warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy and the Develop Africa team
