Preparing for art festival!

By Angelique de la Hogue | Project Leader

Dear Supporter,

We feel very excited to share some fresh news from the field, we are actually preparing an Art Festival that will be held on the 20th of June at school!

This event aims at the following objectives:

1) Children feel respected, are confident and express themselves freely

2) Children develop self-motivation and want to participate

3) Teachers feel confident about their profession; they have good relationships with parents, pupils and colleagues.

To reach these targets, we will recognize and value the role of each central actor (child, teacher and parent), before, during and after the event. We are actually planning the following actions:

Before the event:

  • Children's efforts are valued during the school event preparation by teachers and non-teaching school staff.
  • We will facilitate a 'valorization' session during Parents Club meeting where parents will reflect and create activities to value teachers work. (Thank you Card).
  • We will create video with children' appreciation of their teacher's work
  • Teachers will be invited in Parent's Club meeting to share a lunch and value parent's participation and involvement.

During the event:

  • We will value children's participation during the music day show
  • Parents will be invited for an exhibition of the children’s artworks
  • Teachers and parents will be involved in collaborative activities
  • A 'valorization' assembly will be scheduled at the end of the of workshops, encouraging parents and teachers to share and to value each other

 After the event:

  • We will invite the teachers to value children's efforts during preparation and participation to the event.
  • We will gather feedback of parents concerning their appreciation of teachers.

The TIPA team is highly motivated and looking forward to the new learning and bonding experiences to come!

We would like to thank you for your valuable support.; your contribution encourages the team to its highest and best. Do not hesitate to send us your appreciation, critics, ideas and propositions that will help us improve our action for sure.

 With gratitude,
