Introduction
Protecting vulnerable children from harm is a critical issue in both Peru and Cambodia, where children often face threats such as violence, exploitation, and neglect. Educational sessions focused on safety awareness and self-protection are essential for empowering these children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe.
Peru
In Peru, many children are exposed to various forms of harm, including domestic violence, child labor, and trafficking. Indigenous children and those living in rural and urban poverty are particularly at risk. Limited access to education and resources further exacerbates their vulnerability.
Cambodia
Cambodian children face similar threats, with high rates of child labor, trafficking, and domestic abuse. The legacy of political instability and poverty continues to affect the well-being of children, particularly in rural areas where access to protective services is limited.
Objectives
Our Educational sessions on safety aim to:
Raise awareness about different forms of harm and exploitation.
Teach children practical skills to protect themselves.
Provide information on how to seek help and support.
Build self-esteem and resilience.
Implementation in Peru & Cambodia
We carry out School-Based Programs: Safety education is integrated into our curriculum, covering topics such as personal safety, recognizing abusive behaviors, and understanding children's rights.
Our teachers and interns deliver the child safety classes to children of all ages. Our courses are targeted to different age groups and include cultural differences for each country.
