But because of your support, their stories have been rewritten. You stepped in and removed the barriers that stood between them and their childhood. You provided the safety net that allowed them to step back from the edge of early marriage. You gave them access to education and mentorship, transforming their fear into focus and their despair into dreams.

Today, they are no longer fighting for survival; they are thriving. They attend school with hope in their hearts instead of worry. You did not just change their circumstances; you reinstalled their dignity. You reminded them of their worth and gave them the tools to build a future defined by choice, not chance.

I am writing this with a heavy heart, but also with a hope that is new again—a hope you have given us.

I want to tell you about a little girl we found. She is called Rosemary. Her story began in abandonment. Her first memories are of a father who drank away his wages and his dignity, until he disappeared entirely. Then, the mother who was supposed to protect her decided she was too heavy a burden to carry and left her at her grandmother’s doorstep.

For a while, Rosemary was safe. An education—her only escape—was made possible by a kind well-wisher who believed in her. But last year, that lifeline snapped. Her sponsor passed away. Suddenly, the roof over her head became just a ceiling; there was no one to pay her school fees. Alone and in despair, she sat by the road side in the community centre, convinced the world had forgotten her.

That is where we found her. That is where you found her.

Because of your generosity, we didn't just walk past. We stopped. We listened. Today, Rosemary is back in the classroom. The terror in her eyes has been replaced by the light of learning. She finally has a place to run to.
