This Child Regained Use of his Arm and Hand
Dear HOPE Supporter,
Thank you for your incredible support! I want to let you know that your support of helping us feed our patients most in need, really touches all of our programs. On September 1-3, 2016, a group called the Euro Group camme to HOPE to help provide burn reconstruction surgeries. In just two days, 27 patients were provided life-saving reconstructive surgery. These children now have the ability to use their limbs that were once completely crippling them. It goes without saying that a child who is a burn victim is also a victim of poverty. The only way they are accessing this treatment is through HOPE and its partners who provide treatment and care free of cost, for those families most vulnerable. That being said, these families are often too poor to be able to pay for meals in the hospital. Your donation provided nutritious meals to these children who need all of the strength they can get, to recover from these complicated surgeries. Thank you for supporting them in their recovery.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh

Rokeya and her newborn
Dear HOPE Surpporter,
We want to share the story of one mother who received support during the delivery of her newborn thanks to you. Rokeya is thirty years old and is a spectacular example in her community, as she understands the importance of receiving proper care during pregnancy and delivery. She came to HOPE Hospital throughout her pregnancy to receive the care, and truly relied on HOPE to support her. You see, her husband is currently living thousands of miles away as a laborer in another country. The support from HOPE helped her feel as though she was not alone. She decided to give birth at HOPE Hospital despite not having a lot of financial stability, as she wanted to ensure the health of herself and her baby. Your support enabled Rokeya to have healthy meals during her stay at HOPE. Rokeya and her new baby are doing well and are very grateful.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh

Expectant Mother About to Deliver
Dear HOPE Supporter,
Your committment to supporting patients during their stay at HOPE Hospital has reached a new group of patients. A new project providing safe pregnancy and delivery care is being supported by this project. The project aims to prevent maternal mortality and childbirth injuries like obstetric fistula by educating mothers, providing her with essential pregnancy care and referring her to a clinic with a skilled professional when her pregnancy is high risk. Just last week HOPE hosted the HOPE Maternal Health and Fistula Conference 2016 in Bangladesh and while I was at the hospital I spoke to several women who were about to deliver or who had just delivered, and needed the support as they could not afford food. Many of the women were from great distances and their families were unable to travel with them, therefore they could not provide them the food they needed. It is essential that mothers regain their strength and nutrition, particularly as they breastfeed. Thank you for providing such essential support to these vulnerable women.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh
