Your Donation to Feed Hospital Patients
By Ashley Pugh | Program Officer
Dear HOPE Supporter,
Happy Holidays! We want to thank you for your commitment in supporting hospital patients who do not have the money to even afford their medication. This project is ensuring that patients who come to HOPE Hospital are provided the basic needs to support their recovery. A large part of any sick patient's recovery starts with the right nutrition and your generous gift is supporting just that. In 2015 HOPE treated 25% more children with pneumonia, Enteric Fever and malaria than any year prior. These children's health have taken a serious toll and they have a long road ahead of them. Your gift of ensuring they are fed a full, nutritious meal makes all the difference for their recovery. During this holiday season, we want to remind you of how impactful your gift has been on the lives of vulnerable children. Thank you again for your support and we wish you a happy new year in 2016.
Sincerely,
Ashley Pugh

Selfless Volunteer with HOPE Patient
Dear HOPE Supporter,
Thank you for your continued support of our hospial operations by providing food to our patients that will help them recover quicker and reduce the financial burden of their hospital stay. Your support was particularly helpful as HOPE was recently visited by the UK group Selfless, which was made up of medical students, doctors and non-medical volunteers. Two medical camps were held as well as two weeks worth of patient care in HOPE Hospital's ward, meaning more patients were seen as the exchange between local and foreign doctors and students taught valuable lessons for each. The more patients that are cared for in the ward means more patients are in need of food. Your support was critical for this patients. Thank you for your support as always; we couldn't do it without you.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh

Nutritious Food for Cleft Patients!

Asma, 3 Months Old
Dear HOPE Supporter,
Thank you very much for your continued support of HOPE Hospital's patients by providing them vital food and nutrients so that they can recover fully. This last month, your donations went for a specific cause: providing nutritious food to cleft lip/palate patients. Through HOPE's partner Smile Train, the incredible surgeon Dr. Biljoy Das visits HOPE quarterly and provides as many cleft repair surgeries as possible in only a few short days. Dr. Das's visit this tme around was filled with very young patients, most under the age of 5. Well being younger is incredibly different for cleft patients who cannot swallow correctly or breastfeed, the good news is that we are reaching children in need faster than before. These young patients are being repaired before social stigmas impact their self-esteem or school attendance. For these young patients, many who suffer repeat bouts of pneumonia and sickness as a result of not eating properly, your donations to supporting them with the food they need to heal is ever more important. Thank you for your charitable giving, without you. these children would not be on their road to recovery and a brighter future as they are.
Sincerely,
Ashley Pugh
