Thousands of Syrian families continue to suffer from severe food insecurity due to years of conflict, economic collapse, soaring prices, and the loss of income sources. In displacement camps and conflict-affected areas, securing even one daily meal has become an exhausting struggle—especially for female-headed households, families with children, and the elderly.
In response to these urgent needs, Saed Relief and Development implemented a food basket distribution project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families and strengthening their ability to cope with extremely difficult living conditions. Each food basket contained essential items such as flour, rice, vegetable oil, sugar, and legumes, enabling families to prepare balanced meals for several consecutive days.
The distribution process was carried out following thorough field assessments to ensure that assistance reached those most in need. Priority was given to displaced families, households that lost their main breadwinner, and families with children at risk of malnutrition. This project played a critical role in reducing the economic burden on families and protecting children from hunger and nutritional deficiencies.
Beyond meeting basic food needs, the food baskets restored a sense of dignity and temporary stability to struggling families, reminding them that they have not been forgotten.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all donors who supported this humanitarian effort. Your continued generosity is essential to reaching more families in need. We kindly encourage you to continue donating and to share this report with others, helping expand the impact and sustain life-saving assistance across Syria
