The Food Bus has had a busy summer attending Brockwell Bounce Family Festival, plus two School Fairs.
During the summer half term, our team spent time at Brockwell, offering educational workshops for families. This included showing the parents and children how to make their own hummus, teaching them about Carribean food, as well as colloborating with Too Good To Go on a Fridge Foraging session. Everyone enjoyed what they made, while also getting the most from our Reduced Cost Grocery Store.
As school terms wrapped up, The Food Bus made extra stops in Kennington and Stockwell, joining Henry Fawcett and Allen Edwards' School Fairs, providing healthy snacks and fresh fruit smoothies to the young people and their parents.
We are now exploring what else we can do to support families during the summer, whilst also recruiting new staff to the bus' team.
Keep an eye on our Instagram (@ldnfoodbus) and Twitter (@LdnFoodBus) for more updates as they happen
