By Judy, Carl | Food Bus Team
We are so proud to be able to roll out the Food Bus across Lambeth and Wandsworth over the past couple of weeks. Bringing fresh produce right to the doors of people who would like to eat and enjoy it but are geographically or ecomonmically disadvantaged enables everyone to eat and live well. And working with the schools and local communities has enabled us to really understand what each community needs and wants, and organise our produce occordingly.
Unfortunaltely, some people don't want others to enjoy something nice and over the weekend vandals took to our bus with some mindless vandalisim. Spray painting the windows and mirrors meant that we had to cancel and entire week of service to enable us to clean it to a state of being able to drive it.
Our whole team was very sad and dismayed that the actions of a couple of people has resulted in the loss of a project to hundreds more.
Neverthless, we've been able to get a first wash of the graffitti and after a paint job we think it will go back to being as good as new.
Please follow the links for more information and photos about the sad incident
