Dear Supporters,
We are ending this year in the new Casa de Panchita, which is very cozy and looks more organized than the previous one.
Like every year, we organized a small celebration with women working in domestic service and adolescents from the night schools we work with. It was an opportunity to sing carols, share turkey sandwiches (a gift from Ian, a friend of our organization), and raffle gifts that we had gathered during the year for this occasion. Some of our staff and domestic workers’ children also attended the celebration.
We want to share with you the most emotional moment of the day: a special recognition was given to three members of our team, who this December concluded their studies in business and administration. Two of the graduates were child domestic workers, and after years of efforts and sacrifices, they had a great reward.
We realize that nowadays our dream of buying a permanent venue for our organization is a hard one to make come true. However, the fact of having three new professionals in our team fills us with joy and pride. Our commitment to Elizabeth, Marleni and Rita, the graduates, gives us hope that even the greatest challenges can be conquered.
