Four years ago, two lovely Maasai students joined our beneficiary; each with a different story to tell, but both full of hope of a better tomorrow. This year, the two students, Lilian and Patrick, sat for their final K.C.S.E exams (final high school exams determining placement in college/ university). They are currently eagerly waiting for their results, due to be released later this month. It is our hope that they will perform well enough to achieve their desired dreams.
Lilian, who is the first born in a family of 10 kids, dreams of one day becoming a pilot. Patrick, on the other hand, would like to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering. It has been a long great journey for him, since we met him at a children’s’ home, where he had been taken after getting rescued from a life of drugs at a young age.
Sports for Change hopes to continue fueling the dreams of more deserving but under privileged youth, determined to ensure equal education access to all. Our journey with Patrick and Lilian is far from over, as we hope to still be with them next year as they take the next step in life, in their select colleges/university.
We cannot thank our supporters enough for continuously supporting the educational desire of our wonderful kids.
