Heal One World: Inner-City Preventative Healthcare

Continuing our dedication to health and wellness as a right for all people, we currently have 16 yoga classes a week and meditation, intuitive dance, self-hypnosis and reiki classes. Soon we will have more classes with PATH and Met Lofts low income housing in Downtown Los Angeles. We hiold weekly senior classes at Vista Towers and soon in a second senior location in Leimert Park.

Throughout this fall, we can proudly announce the 10th Annual Awareness Film Festival October 3rd-13th hosted in Downtown Los Angeles at LA Live was a major success! The festival was conducted to raise awareness on social, environmental, and political topics that shape our communities. We screened about 150 films, had panels, Q&A’s, and wellness events. Guests were able to partake in the event through the opening party, filmmaker brunch, and closing party. In the end, awards were presented to the films that help bring awareness to the viewers. We would like to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors on behalf of this major success!

Currently, in Los Angeles, Heal One World is putting together an Annual Holiday Health Fair on December 7th from 11:00 am -3:00 pm. In hopes of providing relief and relaxation to the community before starting the holiday sprees. We will offer many workshops to alleviate this upcoming stress before the holidays! 

We are still providing reiki classes at least twice a week. Due to the growing popularity for reiki classes, we decided to add a new reiki class starting on Mondays at 1:15pm. We still have our Intuitive dance and Self -Hypnosis class. Heal One World also provides a Senior gentle yoga class! All of our classes are free of charge to the community.

Great new projects at Heal One World. We had a special nutrition class and a youth meditation and yoga special event! Starting in September we will be offering a youth class on Saturdays. Also added will be a Bi-lingual class starting mid-August. Spanish/English.

We started a gentle seniors yoga class this week, offering even more accessability for our classes, including using props and blankets for modeification and support as needed; We began our yoga classes at Vista Terrances which serves low income seniors primarily Korean speaking, every week. Our renewed partnership with PATH will start this Fall offering classes at the transitional housing.

Continuing with our reiki classes twice a week we are also starting new classes, Intuitive Dance and Self Hypnosis! All of our classes are free to the community!

In Fresno we are serving the Vineyards seniors at the California Armenian Home. Weekly classes at Kingsview non-profit organization. We completed a special posture awareness class and essential oils class. We also had a sound healing event with cacao and a veterans day event with yoga, healing touch and tai chi. We have a monthly all ages class for veterans with RWB and a veterans tai chi class with over twenty former service members.
