Luis Miguel, the smiling kid of the Hospital's classroom

Luis Miguel is a 7-year-old boy who enjoys painting, reading and deciphering labyrinths. He has completed 26 days hospitalized at San Vicente Foundation's Children's Hospital, and his mother is with him almost all the time.
The teachers of the Hospital go to his room when he can not go to the classroom with the other kids. They evaluate how to adapt the cognitive process to his necessities, strengthen the motor skills, and develop learning alternatives.
With the help of his mother, the process has had a significant advance, and the days for Luis at the Hospital have become in something a little more fun and entertaining.

Together we could save more little hearts

From Montelibano, located to the north of Colombia, Joselin with just one year, traveled 316 km for almost 7 hours with her mother Erika, to get to the San Vicente Fundación Children Hospital. Where she was diagnosed with interatrial communication. It means that her heart was pumping blood to the lungs. She had an emergency surgery by the cardiovascular surgeons of the Hospital.
Her mother told us the difficulties she had at her region to get attention for her daughter who was lacking of breath and for some moments she was turning purple. She was said that it was a case of pneuomonia and that was the reason that Joselin had a significant decline in health that led to the surgery and by fortune, her recovery was successful.
We want to thank the people who support the Child Unit of the Heart. And with the love and our team’s hard work, more children like Joselin could be treated on time and between all of us, we will save more hearts.

Now Daniela's heart beats stronger than ever befor

Daniela, is just 4 years old and her biggest desire is to show her older sister that now she can ride a bike because her heart is beating stronger and she does not get tired or get sick as before, when only taking a few steps exhausted her.
Ad you as a benefactor of the Children´s Heart Unit program of San Vicente Fundación, are already part of Daniela´s life and hopes of other 41 children who have been operated between may and December of 2017. Now they fortunately have the hope of a life full of joy, study, work and happiness. Children who have had a heart surgery are strong, full of passion for their life and their future.
Daniela and her dream of riding a bike inspire us to continue to take care of the lives of children in Colombia with the valuable help of people of good and kind heart all over the world.
