Dear Project Supporters,

Your support of underprivileged children in Liberia is greatly appreciated. The Henry B Bennah Public School is scheduled to reopen in November.  In the community, children can be seen adhering to guidelines mandated by the Liberian government to prevent the spread of the virus, including the use of face coverings, social distancing, and handwashing.

At home – in addition to playing – the children help their parents with chores such as fetching water, cooking, washing dishes, cleaning in and around the house, preparing fish for sale and helping with the sales at the community markets, etc

The staff is excited about welcoming and working with the children when school reopens. In preparation, they are putting in place preventative measures to combat the COVID-19 virus. But in order to effectively execute this and other critical programs help is needed. The staff and children appreciate and thank everyone who is providing school supplies and financially contributing to the school! One staff added, these donors are ‘blessings to the children.’

Our recurring donors truly make a lasting difference. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month make a lasting difference for these students. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

Save the Date: Sept 14-18, join us for the GlobalGiving #LittleByLittle campaign. With 50% matching on all donations up to $50, BIG change can come from lots of little acts of kindness. Mark your calendars and support education in Liberia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy & the Develop Africa Team
