Dear Project Supporters,
Your support of underprivileged children in Liberia is greatly appreciated. The Henry B. Bennah, Sr. School reopened on January 4, 2021, after a lengthy closure due to the pandemic. The school closed in March 2020 at the outset of the virus in Liberia. It was initially scheduled to reopen in August 2020; but as the number of COVID -19 cases raised, the decision was made to postpone the reopening date until January 4, 2021. The decision to reopen was based on directives from Liberia’s Education Ministry at the advice of the country’s CDC.
During the time that the school was closed, a teacher from the school started tutoring a number of the pupils in her home. On Jan 4, 2021, as students returned to school, the Principal welcomed the pupils and encouraged them to take their education seriously, emphasizing the importance of acquiring an early strong educational foundation.
Your support truly makes a lasting difference for future leaders in Liberia. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will make a lasting difference for these students.
Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation,
Amy & the Develop Africa Team
