Real Classrooms, Real Impact!

Learners busy with Brain Quests
Learners busy with Brain Quests

We’re excited to share a powerful update — and a heartfelt thank you.

Because of your belief in our work, learners across South Africa are growing in confidence, building their Maths skills, and unlocking new opportunities for success. And now, we have independent evidence that proves just how much your support is helping to transform futures.

A new analysis by Limina Education Services confirms that consistent use of Green Shoots’ Maths Curriculum Online (MCO) leads to measurable improvements in learner performance:

  • +5% increase in average Maths scores
  • +9.7% increase in Maths pass rates
  • Strongest gains in under-resourced (Quintile 1) schools

These aren’t just numbers — they’re real change in real classrooms. Learners who once feared Maths are now earning badges, getting full marks, and saying proudly:
“I didn’t know I could be good at Maths — now I believe I can.”

Your support makes this possible. You’ve helped us reach over 400,000 learners, many of whom come from communities with limited access to digital tools or academic support. With each Brain Quest completed, a learner is growing in confidence, a teacher is better equipped, and a school is shifting its culture.

This is the kind of equity in education that many only talk about. You’re helping us deliver it.

Thank you for investing in lasting change — not just in test results, but in mindsets, futures, and whole communities.

With gratitude,
The Green Shoots Team
