Update Report for Homeless Animals Hospital

Greetings Friends,

In this report you will read 3 different stories. First I would like to tell you more about Homeless Animals Hospital program.. This unique one of a kind program reaches out to the animals that no one else will help. Strays, abandoned animals, pets of the poor are all welcome as long as our donations allow. We treat over 4000 dogs and cats a year under this social program that works in combination with spay/neuter to curb the flow of unwanted animals.

Everyone who helps Romania Animal Rescue is an unpaid volunteer. Only the vets and nurses are paid for their work and one driver is paid. We feel it is vital to help the animals as much as possible so we are donors too.

Now let's meet some recent patients:

Groundhog was brought into the Center of Hope by a Good Samaritan. He had an enormous cyst that was choking him and preventing him from eating and breathing properly. It was extremely painful. He needed emergency intense surgery which was provided to him. Please see the before and after photos. He is currently up for adoption.

Our next story is of an abandoned litter of 4 puppies suffering from severe mange and other parasites. They were admitted to Center of Hope hosptial under the Homeless Animals Hospital program and are currently improving under treatment.

The final story is of Little Kid. Named Kid as she was found living with goats in a pen. She is paralyzed in her hind legs. Her hair was completely matted and she had drag sores on her legs and rear. Her owners agreed to let our driver, Anca, take her and she arrived at Center of Hope where she was clipped and her deep wounds treated. Our adoption partners in Holland found her a fabulous home and we bought her a wheel cart so she could be mobile. Kid's new adopters noticed Kid had a special fondness of water and tried to go into a lake with her wheels. So they purchased a life vest for her and.....lo and behold she is a water girl! Meet Some of the Patients YOU Help

Hello Friends,

Our Homeless Animals Hospital Project report is massive, so I can only give you a glimmer of what your donations have done to help the animals we treat, amounting to 4000 a year. Here are a few stories:

Romania Animal Rescue provides 1000 vaccines free of charge each year, yet we still have puppies who never received vaccines brought to us on an emergency basis with deadly parvovirus. Our quarantine suite treats hundreds of puppies each year for parvo. Our first photo is one of the more recent puppies we successfully treated.

Next we have Alfie, brought in by his guardian who was distraught as she could not find anyone to do surgery for Alfie, who was suffering terribly with bladder stones. Marie, his guardian, had lost her job and could not afford the cost to help him, and she was rejected by other clinics due to lack of ability to pay. We welcomed him under our Homeless Animals Hospital program. Our second and third photos are of Alfie.

How about this for a Happy Ever After! This puppy was a stray brought into Center of Hope suffering from severe mange and intestinal parasites. After treatment under Homeless Animals Hospital program he was able to go to Holland where he found a lovely home. Our fourth photo is before and after.

Just today, March 6, we received this puppy brought in from an extremely impoverished area. Named Shoppi by a little boy who cared for him. A well intentioned loving man tried to wrap Shoppi's broken leg (broken in 2 places) as best he could. He learned about our Homeless Animals Hospital program and brought Shoppi to us, where it was discovered Shoppi needs pins and screws placed in his legs to heal them so that he will be pain free. The total cost for this skilled surgery is $500. Your donations will provide help for Shoppi and so many others like him. Please see photo five.

Another parvo patient that was saved is featured in our sixth and last photo. Look at this tiny baby....all grown up now and adopted to a forever great home!

And lastly, please see our YouTube video featuring Johnny. He was brought by a Good Samaritan into Center of Hope, having been hit by a car and left on the side of the road suffering for 5 days with a completely broken lower jaw. He was treated as an emergency as he was on his way to getting gangrene. Well, goodness, look what some wonderful teamwork was able to accomplish! Not only did Johnny receive his surgery, he was adopted by a loving family.
