Mujeres Indigenas Mujeres Empresarias - 5th Report

En Educampo, Fundación Mexicana para el Desarrollo Rural, estamos sumamente agradecidos por el apoyo recibido durante el año 2019. En el último trimestre del año, nos fue posible seguir apoyando a 157 mujeres rurales e indígenas, en 27 localidades de la región Costa de Oaxaca, sur de Yucatán y Norte de Campeche en procesos formativos para la consolidación de su actividad productiva en textiles, panadería, jamaica y tostadas de maíz.

En esta etapa, fue posible trabajar en procesos de estandarización y en la búsqueda de espacios comerciales que permitan fortalecer y ampliar la operación de las beneficiarias.

Es a través del acceso a recursos y a conocimiento, que las beneficiarias logran comenzar una transformación en materia de género, que les beneficia tanto a ellas, como a sus hijos, familia y comunidad.

En este periodo que comprende de octubre a diciembre de 2019, se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados:

Campeche

Realización de 17 sesiones de orientación alimentaria con un 91.5% de aprendizaje
Capacitación de 40 horas en corte y confección para grupo de la línea textil.
Participación de 30 productoras para el proyecto “Estrategia de formación dirigida a jóvenes clave para desarrollar capacidades de liderazgo social y emprendimiento en la Península de Yucatán”.
Capacitación Fiscal a 20 productoras de 10 grupos.

Oaxaca

Aumento del 20% de clientes en la cooperativa de tostadas de maíz.
Capacitación para los procesos estandarizados de galleta en panadería.
Inicio de comercialización de productos de panadería, jamaica y tostadas en Mercado Alternativo de Productores en Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

Yucatán

Realización de 9 sesiones de orientación alimentaria a 32 productoras.
Generación de acuerdos entre 4 grupos textiles, sobre producción y comercialización de su nueva línea de productos para la temporada invierno 2019.
Participación en una feria comercial que generó ingresos para 32 mujeres de los 4 grupos de la línea textil.

Como grupo, hemos establecido un taller donde trabajamos juntas, y hemos comenzado a trabajar de la mano con las 2 cooperativas de Jamaica y panadería.

Hemos aprendido a sacar los costos de los productos que elaboramos y darle el valor agregado con una buena presentación.

Trabajar en equipo nos ha enseñado que, entre todas, podemos facilitar el trabajo y aumentar nuestra capacidad productiva, tenemos mayor mercado y más clientes, así es como va creciendo nuestra empresa TostyCosta.

In Educampo, Fundación Mexicana para el Desarrollo Rural, we are grateful for the support received in 2019. In the last quarter of the year, we support 157 rural and indigenous women, in 27 different locations in Oaxaca, Yucatan and Campeche, providing them training processes for the consolidation of its productive activity in embroidery (textiles), bakery, jamaica (hibiscus flower), and corn toast.

We work on standardization processes and in the search for commercial spaces that allow strengthening and expanding the operation of the beneficiaries.

It is through access to resources and knowledge that the beneficiaries begin a gender transformation, which benefits them, as well as their children, family and community.

Between October and December 2019, we obtained the following results:

Campeche

17 nutritional orientation sessions with 91.5% of learning.
40 hours training in cutting and sewing for the textile line group.
Participation of 30 producers in the project "Training strategy aimed at young people to develop social leadership and entrepreneurship skills in the Yucatan Peninsula".
Fiscal Training for 20 producers of 10 groups.

Oaxaca

20% increase in customers in the corn toast cooperative.
Training for standardized cookie processes in bakery.
Start of commercialization of bakery, jamaica (hibiscus flower), and toast products in the Alternative Producers Market in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

Yucatan

9 food orientation sessions to 32 producers.
Generation of agreements between 4 textile groups, on production and commercialization of its new product line for the fall/winter 2019 season.
Sells that generated income for 32 women of the 4 groups of the textile line.

El proyecto implementado en la costa de Oaxaca, sur de Yucatán y en el estado de Campeche, ha sido constante con el apoyo a 167 mujeres a lo largo de su ejecución, con actividades de fortalecimiento, desarrollo empresarial gestión de grupos, etc.

Durante este periodo se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados:

Gracias al acompañamiento de Educampo (a través de la asesoría y asistencia brindada), también se obtuvo lo siguiente:

En Campeche se realizaron 36 sesiones de madurez organizacional y 17 sesiones de nutrición con grupos de etapas de trabajo 1 a 3, teniendo un 92% de aprendizaje promedio por mujer.
Tres de nuestros grupos de beneficiarias en Campeche recibieron un apoyo de $250,000 por parte del Instituto Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas (INPI), para equipamiento con infraestructura, activos e insumos y/o capacitación técnica.
Las tres Sociedades Cooperativas de Oaxaca lograron cumplir ante el SAT con el 100% de sus obligaciones fiscale
En Yucatán, 21 representantes de 10 grupos de miel y textiles se reunieron para ver temas relacionados con la estructura interna, funciones y responsabilidades del manejo de la empresa cooperativa.

The project implemented on the coast of Oaxaca, southern Yucatan and in the state of Campeche, has been consistent with the support of 167 women throughout its execution, carrying out strengthening activities, business development, group management, etc.

During this period the following results were obtained:

Through the assistance provided by Educampo, the following was also obtained:

In Campeche, 36 sessions of organizational maturity and 17 nutrition sessions were held with work groups of stages 1 to 3, with 92% of average learning per woman.
Three of our groups in Campeche received $12,787 USD ($250,000 mexican pesos) from the Instituto Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas (National Institute of Indigenous Peoples), for infrastructure, equipment, assets, supplies and / or technical training.
The three Cooperative Societies of Oaxaca complied with 100% of their tax obligations. In Yucatan, 21 spokeswomen of 10 honey and textile groups met to see issues related to the internal structure, functions and responsibilities of the management of the cooperatives.

Mujeres Indigenas Mujeres Empresarias - 3rd Report

Gracias a tu apoyo, durante los últimos dos meses hemos podido continuar con el proceso de fortalecimiento de los grupos (tanto de nueva creación como de nivel avanzado), obteniendo los siguientes resultados:

No de Mujeres Atendidas: 179

No. de cooperativas de mujeres (Red): 5

Beneficiarios indirectos: 720

Número de municipios atendidos: 15

Número de localidades atendidas: 27

En el estado de Yucatán, gracias a los procesos de capacitación llevados a cabo en el transcurso de 16 sesiones (con duración total de 36 horas), las mujeres desarrollaron 4 nuevas prendas de vestir para su comercialización. Además, se reunieron 12 mujeres representantes de 4 grupos de la línea textil para generar acuerdos que se enfocarán en la promoción y venta de esta temporada y el resto del año, de lo que se espera un incremento de hasta el 40% en ventas.

En el estado de Campeche, se realizaron 2 sesiones de representantes de la línea textil y panadería, impactando a 26 socias de 4 grupos, que se encuentran analizando el marco legal de figuras jurídicas con el objetivo de constituir legalmente su empresa. También recibieron sesiones de madurez organizacional y de nutrición, a las cuales asistieron el 88% de las mujeres productoras.

"En el último mes recibimos una capacitación técnica que, como grupo, nos ayudó a mejorar y a crecer; específicamente a aumentar la calidad de nuestros productos. Pude aprender a tomar medidas, a hacer los trazos de los patrones, y a dibujar los cuellos y las mangas correctamente, ya que anteriormente se nos dificultaba realizar bien las prendas y poder definir las tallas. También nos dimos cuenta de qué es lo que nos hace falta aprender y en qué tenemos que mejorar para seguir trabajando como grupo. Estamos muy felices de haber recibido esta primera capacitación y esperamos tener otra muy pronto para seguir especializándonos."

Thanks to your support, during the last two months we have continued with the process of strengthening the groups, both new and advanced, obtaining the following results:

In Yucatan, thanks to the training processes carried out in 16 sessions (with a total duration of 36 hours), the women developed 4 new garments for commercialization. In addition, 12 women representatives from 4 groups of the textile line met to generate agreements that will focus on the promotion and sale for the rest of the year, which result is expected to increase of up to 40% in sales.

In the state of Campeche, two sessions with representatives of the textile and bakery line were held, impacting 26 members of 4 groups, who are analyzing the legal framework of legal figures with the aim of legally establishing their company. They also received sessions of organizational maturity and nutrition, attended by 88% of women producers.

“In the last month we received training that helped us to improve and grow as a group. Specifically, to increase the quality of our products. I was able to learn to take measurements, to make the strokes of the patterns, and to draw necks and sleeves correctly, since previously it was difficult for us to make good the garments and to be able to define the sizes. We also realized what we need to learn and what we have to improve to continue working as a group. We are very happy to have received this first training and we hope to have another one very soon to continue specializing.”
