Ramadan passed recently; the annual month of fasting where muslim refrain from eating from sunrise to sunset It’s the month of bounties and blessings bestowed on all Muslims by ALLAH Almighty. This holy month is a month of reflection to look within on the bounties that have been bestowed upon them and to understand the lives and the tribulations of those less fortunate.
According to the Holy Quran “Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong)...” (Q 2:183)
It’s the month of kindness, forgiveness and taking careof the needs of the poor. Every year Muslims fast and spend money on the poor as charity, provide meals and help them in whatever way they can as this is what this month entails that is to help those who need it the most and becoming aware of the problems that surroundso many around us.
Fatima Memorial Hospital has a tradition to provide food at the time of sehri and Iftari (i.e. from sunrise to sunset) to patients and their families who are being treated free of cost at the hospital. The institution tries to ensure that no needy individual goes hungry in this holy month however with rising costs sometimes it gets difficult to cater to everyone and we need your support to continue with our tradition.
