By Asma Rao | Head of Marketing & Resource Mobilization

“We had Chicken Qorma today with Nan and cold drinks for lunch today. I had a blast eating with all my class fellows. I study in the Gajjumatta Branch of NUR Foundation Schools and every week we enjoy a delicious lunch. It’s the best day of the week!!”
The students at NUR Foundation Schools come from impoverished backgrounds and are provided free education with free books and uniforms. The children come from background where even one square meal a day is not possible. So every week a school lunch is organized for all the children studying the school in the outskirts of Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan
NUR Foundation Schools are striving to provide its 1850 students healthy meals and will like to make provide them on a daily basis but due to financial constraints it is very difficult to provide meal on daily basis. To reach this goal we need your generous support so that we all can continue to see their happy faces

The Month Ramadan: Where Bounties Fall Everyday
By Asma Rao | Head of Marketing and Resource Mobilization
![]()
Ramadan passed recently; the annual month of fasting where muslim refrain from eating from sunrise to sunset It’s the month of bounties and blessings bestowed on all Muslims by ALLAH Almighty. This holy month is a month of reflection to look within on the bounties that have been bestowed upon them and to understand the lives and the tribulations of those less fortunate.
According to the Holy Quran “Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong)...” (Q 2:183)
It’s the month of kindness, forgiveness and taking careof the needs of the poor. Every year Muslims fast and spend money on the poor as charity, provide meals and help them in whatever way they can as this is what this month entails that is to help those who need it the most and becoming aware of the problems that surroundso many around us.
Fatima Memorial Hospital has a tradition to provide food at the time of sehri and Iftari (i.e. from sunrise to sunset) to patients and their families who are being treated free of cost at the hospital. The institution tries to ensure that no needy individual goes hungry in this holy month however with rising costs sometimes it gets difficult to cater to everyone and we need your support to continue with our tradition.

Hello! My name is Eman; I am twelve years old and I am in grade 7th. I have been studying at NUR Foundation School since 2009. I like to come to school and I like English, Math and Islamic studies very much.
I want to be a doctor in the future.
The best part is NUR Foundation School is really near our homes . The school provides free education, uniform and books; the weekly lunch is so much fun as we get to all sit together and enjoy ourselves.
NUR Foundation Schools are striving to provide its 1850 students healthy meals and will like to make provide them on a daily basis but due to financial constraints it is very difficult to provide meal on daily basis. To reach this goal we need your generous support so that we all can continue to see their happy faces.
Please donate and change their lives.
