As we have mentioned previously, we have been working towards teaming up with an Australian non-profit on this project to give us greater access to funds from the government, corporations, fundraising bodies, fundraisers and donors. We are in the midst of discussions to finalise and announce the partnership. We are looking at offering merit-based grants to participants from Australia who have done exceptional charity work in their own communitites, the opportunity to volunteer with a global organisation. Without this award, these adults and young adults would not be able to participate on these projects.
The GVI Charitable Trust National Scholarship Program is based upon offering opportunities to youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, to allow them not only to grow as individuals through life experience, work experience and training, but equip them with the confidence to work towards improving the situations of others within their own communities and in other communities.
Thank you for your kind donations that have allowed the project to get this far, and all the very best.
