Empowerment of Rural Families affected by Floods

Women facing food insecurity

Since floods 2010 to 2013 Lower Sindh particularly Badin, Thatta & Sujawal districts damaged badly and poor rural families lost their houses as well as animals during these floods days. At present the women residing in rural areas and their family is poor facing food insecurity.

We at AHD want to change this project into rehabilitation of Flood Victims, in this regard your input needed for this project. We want to start disaster Preparedness through building capacity of women on disasters and save something for the incoming disasters as the areas of Jati and Sujawal is disaster prone area and needs to help these families with disaster preparedness

We will change this project title into “Disaster Preparedness of Flood Victims in Pakistan”

Food & Medical Support needed for 300 women near Matli

AHD conducted baseline survey among 300 rural women near Matli in 2 UCs, the women selected mostly poor and engaged with agriculture profession, the present survey for 300 women conducted to select 300 women at the average of 20 women from 15 villages.

We need support in fallowing items during coming Monsoon:

1. Food package for one month time period total US $ = 15,000
2. Kitchen gardening seeds for 300 women total  US $ = 3,000
3. Medical camps in 15 villages medicine need    US $ = 7,500
4. Traveling & Monitoring                                       US $ = 1,500

                                                    Total funds required = US $ 30,000 only

Through this project we at AHD Needs US $ 30,000 to help 300 women to secure their food and medical needs during running monsoon season
