This January, we reached a significant milestone in our community engagement efforts through the Forest Farmer Community Meeting in Ngrawoh Village.

Building Local Capacity for Sustainable Forests

On January 2026, twelve dedicated members of our local farmer group gathered for their regular capacity-building session. These meetings are the backbone of our project, ensuring that reforestation is not just about planting, but about long-term ecological stewardship.

Key highlights from this month’s meeting include:

• Management of the 12-Hectare Conservation Area: The group held an in-depth discussion on the management strategies for our 12-hectare conservation zone. This area serves as a critical buffer for local biodiversity and water resources.

• Capacity Building for Sustainability: The session focused on enhancing the farmers' skills in sustainable forest management. We discussed ecological goals, such as maintaining soil health and monitoring the survival rates of newly planted saplings.

• Collaborative Planning: The 12 members mapped out upcoming activities for the quarter, ensuring that every hectare is monitored and protected from external threats.

Why Community Meetings Matter

Reforestation fails when the local community is excluded. By empowering these 12 farmers, we are ensuring that the 100,000 trees we aim to plant will have "guardians." These farmers are transitioning from traditional land use to sustainable forestry, which balances their livelihoods with the health of the planet.
