RWAYDAVO Prepares 15,000 Additional Tree Seedlings

Dear Donors and Supporters,

We are pleased to share an important update on our tree-planting initiative in Northern Rwanda.

On September 29, 2026, RWAYDAVO began preparing an additional 15,000 tree seedlings as part of our ongoing efforts to promote environmental conservation, restore degraded land, and support local communities; Planting 50,000 trees as a new initiative.

The seedlings are currently being prepared in our nursery. If germination is successful and the seedlings grow well, they will be ready for planting in the coming months.

Our Commitment to a Greener Rwanda

This new effort builds on our previous tree-planting activities in Rulindo District, where RWAYDAVO has already planted thousands of trees with the participation of local communities.

Through this initiative, we aim to:

Restore degraded land and protect the environment.
Reduce soil erosion and improve soil conservation.
Increase tree cover in local communities.
Encourage community participation in environmental protection.

Dear patrons,

RWAYDAVO Reforestation Project

Land 6 is an essential site within the RWAYDAVO Reforestation Project, driving our long-term mission to restore degraded land, expand tree canopy cover, protect natural resources, and cultivate a greener, healthier Rwanda. This report serves as both an operational update on our current growth and an official request for funding to launch our next major initiative. Following the successful achievement of our previous target of planting 40,000 trees, we are proud to establish an ambitious new target of 50,000 trees.

More than 28,000 trees are currently established on Land 6 alone. Photographic monitoring confirms that these trees have grown exceptionally well. The saplings have successfully transitioned past their critical early vulnerability phase and are displaying strong structural health, robust foliage growth, and stable canopy development. The visible surge in vegetation density is actively transforming the local landscape, laying down a highly resilient foundation for long-term ecological restoration and carbon storage.

Building upon the monumental milestone of our first 40,000 trees, RWAYDAVO NGO is officially raising the bar through this brand-new project phase. Our immediate objective is to expand our reforestation footprint across our active sites to reach our new 50,000-tree target. Achieving this milestone will exponentially accelerate root system stabilization to reduce soil erosion on sloping terrains, build up natural organic matter to improve soil nutrition and regional water retention, and establish dense, continuous forest cover to invite native wildlife and restore local biodiversity.

To turn this vision into reality, we are seeking financial partnerships and donations to cover the essential costs of this new phase. Your financial support will directly fund the procurement of high-quality, native tree species well-suited for the Mugambazi climate. It will also cover expanding irrigation layouts, purchasing tools for efficient large-scale planting, replacing trees that do not survive, and providing fair wages to local community members for planting, long-term maintenance, and structural tracking.

With your financial backing, RWAYDAVO NGO will transition immediately into the next operational phase of this initiative. We will mobilize local teams to get the next wave of saplings safely into the ground while maintaining continued care, pruning, and localized support for both existing and new tree stands. Furthermore, we will implement regular documentation and growth-metric tracking to quantify survival rates and demonstrate empirical environmental impact to our patrons.

The excellent growth metrics observed at Land 6 showcase the powerful impact of practical, community-centered reforestation. Having successfully hit our 40,000-tree mark in the past, we have proved our model works. We invite you to partner with us financially to help us reach our new 50,000-tree target and secure a resilient, green future for Rwanda.
