Plant 50,000 Trees In Northern Rwanda

We are pleased to share a brief report on the tree planting activity conducted on Saturday on our hillside land. This initiative brought together strong community participation, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable land management.

Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Location: Buyoga, Rwanda (72HH+PCP)

A total of 55 participants took part in the activity, including 30 children and 25 adults, demonstrating strong intergenerational commitment to environmental protection and a greener future.

The planting exercise began at 5:00 AM and ended at 6:00 PM. The work was carried out on steep and mountainous terrain, requiring significant physical effort, coordination, and teamwork among all participants.

During the exercise, approximately 4,200 trees were successfully planted. This achievement will contribute significantly to soil conservation, erosion control, and long-term environmental sustainability in the area.

Some delays were experienced due to transport challenges, as the site is located in a hilly area with no road access. All movement of participants and materials was done on foot, which slowed the process but did not prevent successful completion of the activity.

In conclusion, the tree planting activity was successfully completed despite logistical challenges. The dedication and teamwork demonstrated by all participants reflect the strong spirit of community service promoted by RWAYDAVO.

RE: TRANSPORT SUPPORT REPORT – TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

RWAYDAVO is pleased to share a brief report on the transport arrangements that supported our recent tree planting activity conducted on our land in Buyoga, a mountainous and hilly area with no motorable road access.

The purpose of this transport support was to ensure that nurses and volunteers could safely reach the planting site and that all necessary tree seedlings and basic materials were delivered efficiently despite the challenging terrain. Due to the nature of the area, no vehicles were able to access the site, and all movement was carried out on foot from the nearest accessible point.

Participants, including our nurses, demonstrated exceptional commitment by manually transporting seedlings and materials—carrying them on their heads and by hand—across steep and narrow paths. This required significant physical effort, coordination, and teamwork. As observed during the activity, the group worked collaboratively, supporting one another to ensure that all materials reached the designated planting areas.

Despite challenges such as difficult terrain, physical strain, and uncertain weather conditions, the transport process was successfully completed. All participants arrived safely, and all required materials were delivered to the site, enabling the planting activity to proceed as planned.

This experience highlights both the logistical constraints of working in remote rural environments and the strong dedication of the RWAYDAVO team and community members to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Conclusion:
The transport support for this activity was successfully executed through coordinated manual effort, reflecting resilience, teamwork, and commitment to our mission.
