Lionel's mom Yvette needed to get away from her abusive boyfriend in Greece. She was volunteering helping refugees and she rescued Lionel from the streets. He was quite tame so Yvette thinks he was probably a pet at some point but he had been abandoned. We helped Yvette change her airline ticket back home but she needed help to get Lionel home.
Because of donations to this project we were able to get Lionel to the vet for an exam, vaccinations, a vet certificate and a cat carrier to come home.
Lionel has had quite a rough life but he is truly enjoying his new life back home in the USA with Yvette!
