Dear Supporter,
Assalamu Alaikum,
Some time ago, we shared with you the heartbreaking story of Baby Sarah — a fragile newborn who came into this world under extremely difficult conditions.
She was born with a severe cleft palate, suffered from seizures and a life-threatening infection, and spent weeks fighting for her life inside the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria. Her parents, displaced and exhausted, could only pray for a miracle.
That miracle was you.
Because of your generosity and the tireless efforts of our medical team, Sarah received the urgent treatment she needed — including specialized care and close monitoring in the NICU.
Today, we are overjoyed to share that Sarah is healthy and thriving!
After weeks of intensive care, she is now safely at home with her family — smiling, growing, and living the life she once nearly lost.
Her parents expressed their deep gratitude, saying that your support gave their daughter a second chance at life — a chance they never thought possible.
Your kindness didn’t just save a life; it restored hope to a family who had lost everything.
For every baby like Sarah who recovers, there are many more still fighting for their first breath.
Your continued support helps SEMA provide lifesaving neonatal care, medical equipment, and emergency treatment to vulnerable newborns across Syria.
Together, we can turn fragile beginnings into stories of survival and joy.
Thank you for believing in compassion, for standing with SEMA, and for giving Sarah the gift of life.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The SEMA Team
