Dear Supporter,
Just two days ago, a newborn baby named Amjad, only one day old, was rushed to one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria in a life-threatening emergency. He was suffering from severe vomiting, high fever, and convulsions—his tiny body was struggling to survive.
Our medical team responded immediately. After a rapid assessment, Amjad was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, a dangerous condition especially for a newborn. The team performed a gastric lavage and began an intensive course of treatment. Amjad was then placed in an incubator under constant monitoring.
Thanks to their quick action—and your generous support—Amjad began to show signs of recovery. Day by day, he’s getting stronger and is now on the verge of being discharged safely from the hospital.
This would not have been possible without you.
Your donation helped provide the urgent medical care and life-saving equipment needed to save Amjad’s life—and the lives of many other vulnerable newborns.
From all of us at SEMA, and from Amjad’s family:
Thank you for giving hope, healing, and life.
Warm regards,
