Project Report | Mar 28, 2021
A Time for Reinvention

By Cathy King | Executive Director

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

While 2020 was a year of trudging through the challenges COVID presented, 2021 is the way to a new, brighter future. Our team has focused on examining all aspects of our program to re-emerge stronger than ever. We have been hard at work strengthening procedures to pull dogs from shelters, begin pre-training at the partnering prisons and pair the dogs with veterans. We have dicussed and implemented ways to assist our veterans who have been affected directly or indirectly by the pandemic.

With safety measures in place, in-person classes have resumed more clients are starting their training journey with us. Many of our teams are meeting twice a week to take advantage of in-person training. Our trainers are elated to see our clients and furry friends, nothing beats training in person! After a year of isolation, we know how important this time is to our veterans and their training goals are our priority.

During this tough era of COVID-19, we know there are many worthy causes out there. Veterans who are often already isolated due to PTSD and other mental issues, have suffered greatly with the restrictions that have been in place. We are thankful for the support, allowing us to continue financing our program.

Our team sends a big thank you to all of you and we wish you a bright year!
