Coastal community people of Bangladesh in south-western region living in adjacent to Sundarbans and for their livelihood, they also depend on natural resource of Sundarbans. To conserve this natural resource, they also try to minimize the dependency ratio in natural forest. In this case, they start integrated farming in their native land area where they are producing white gold by using organic food which comes from the farm areas mangrove plantation.
This integrated farming satisfied their daily demand of fish in their family and also, it’s create earning opportunity by producing white gold. Bangladesh Environment and Development society (BEDS) is working relentlessly to marketing this product so that they get the proper price of market and in this case, they develop an IMA center to fish storage and selling. These facilities solve the degradation chance of this marketing product. Hopefully, BEDS have a future plan to explore this product not only this local market but also international market.
