Sheep rearing is a success of cooperatives

Sheep can be a free range of rearing animal because this livestock can grass in field. By remaining this context Bangladesh Environment and Development Society developed a cooperative initiative at south western part of Bangladesh which is adjacent to Sundarbans area. This sheep is a part of cooperative initiative on integrated farming sector. Fast animal breeding can be held by this animal which can helped by providing meat and increasing number of animals. These activities earned a lot which added a new dimension in cooperative income.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

Vegetable garden for cooperative members
Bangladesh is a densely populated country with its high population. But the land of Bangladesh is fertile. To meet up the necessities of daily demand, Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working in south western coastal region of Bangladesh. By the initiative of BEDS, Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society is working for vegetable production in organic way so that they can satisfy their daily need and also can marketing this production which will bring income for cooperative society. So, it’s benefited them in both socially and economically.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working for the cooperatives in a sustainable way. Like, in this concept community people works for the cooperatives production including mangrove-based production, integrated farming, responsible tourism etc. Among these activities, benefit shared among the members and earn money by this local community women who was fully housewife. Among this event, naturally production of vegetable on of them. They are using cow dung and kitchen garbage for organic fertilizer production. Result of this, generate healthy vegetable. BEDS wants to upscaling this initiative among the community so that everyone can enjoy the organic vegetable and lead healthy life.
