Carefully rearing the swan
Bangladesh is densely populated country where natural disaster across over the country every year. They are fully depending on forest resources and agricultural product. But Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) takes an initiative through natural farming practices among the community. Rearing the swan is part of this initiative. Rearing this swan and by selling this product earning an amount of money that is contributed in Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society income that means ultimately cooperative members earing a amount of money that is contributed in their family income.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

Sundarbans is the world largest mangrove forest in Bangladesh. It’s situated in the south western part of Bangladesh. Adjacent to this region, Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society build which target is to socio economic development without hampering the ecosystem. In that case, cooperative members practicing natural farming by using cow dung and garbage that is proved, produce more vegetable compare with chemical fertilizer and it’s also long lasting.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

Now farming is practicing each and everywhere by using chemical fertilizer for more production and benefit. But Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) taken an initiative through Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society Limited under BANOJIBI brand where 265 members of forest dependent and farmers works for the development of activity. Among their activity, they are practicing natural farming for vegetable production. Different types of organic fertilizer using in farm for healthy production to lead healthy life.
