And we wish you a Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and all the seasonal traditions of this month. Our girls in Cusco, Peru will be celebrating this year's 6th grade school graduation and then Christmas as is their custom before the end of the school year next week.

CW girls learn quickly about technology at CW school even with our limited ability to expose them. So now they are aware, have used the computer and have connected with the greater world. Here is a sample of the letter one student wrote to Santa:

"Dear Santa, in this year I was very good and wanted to have a good year with my family this year because my papa and my grandfather argue too much."

                For Christmas I want: A tablet and a Cellular phone. 

    This won't be possible but CW will see every girl has a gift for Christmas.

We are all concerned about the distressing conditions humanity is experiencing in the world today. Girls with no education will suffer the most now and even more as they become young mothers. Chicuchas Wasi is able to educate and empower 112 girls each year and our girls are changing their families and communities by their example. YOU are their cheerleaders in the background making it all happen.       THANK YOU!

Education is serious business at CW, but so is their growth and development. We have improved their health with good nutrition (thanks to our great cooks) and vitamins. Our girls are becoming confident, with improved self-esteem and showing leadership abilities for the gender equality they will need to bring into their indigenous society of the future.
