Send 120 poor children to attend nursery school

The 5 nursery schools we are supporting ended their school year mid-June 2019. 

This school year was another positive year with good progress of the children. 

As mentioned before we had 310 children in the 5 schools, an increase of 12% over the year before.

The school year 2019-2020 will be starting October 1st 2019. We will opened a new nursery school in the village of Sidi 2.

It is always a challenge to find the resources to fund to cover the running expenses of the schools.

Parents cannot cover the 92US$  needed per year per child. They are participating with 7 US$. The 85US$ missing needs to come from sponsors.

We expect to have a total of 380 children in the 6 nursery schools we are supporting. So we need to find 32.300US$ for this new school year.

Children attending the nursery school are healthier than other children.

There are several reasons for this:

• an extra meal per day help the children to better develop and to be stronger against diseases.
• the habits given to the children to wash their hands before eating, after going to the toilet, before going into the classroom
• the daily brushing of the teeth 
• possibility for the children to play in a safe environment

Also if a child does not feel well, the parents are immediatly called to take him to the local dispensery. Most of the time, parents will wait until it is too late to if a child is sick to take him to the dispensery.

Because the children are educated on hygiene, their families are also improving on this aspect. They are washing their hands before the meals for example.

A nursery school in a rural villages has not only an impact on education, but also on health.
