Mixed news from Honduras

By Felicia | Project Leader

Hi!

The Covid-19 situation is still having a huge impact worldwide, so also on our project in Honduras, where we support a daycare center for single mothers who complete their education.

Covid-19 in Honduras and at Pasos Pequeñitos

Due to the Corona crisis, our day care center for children, “Pasos Pequeñitos”, is still closed and the future is still uncertain. The pandemic has worked as a fire accelerator for hunger and poverty. Sadly, nobody knows when and if it will be able to open up again. So we need all the support we can get to keep this project alive!

Christmas Calendar

On the bright side, we are very happy to inform you that we were selected again for the Christmas calendar of “24 good deeds” - this time for Honduras! The calendar is a very German tradition, and in this version features 24 charitable projects during the 24 days before Christmas eve. By buying the calendar, you can thus support 24 different social projects - one good deed per day! We are so happy to be a part of it again and to support children in Honduras! Find out more on the website of 24 good deeds: https://www.24-good-deeds.com/

Active at Pen Paper Peace

During the last months, our volunteer-based organization has grown tremendously. We are now at about fifty active individuals who work together to achieve better education worldwide. We are so glad to have so many people all over the world, with a big diversity of skills, from research over education to translation, from fundraising over organization of events to design!! We are full of ideas for great new projects, as well under Corona circumstances as for the world after Corona, and working on putting them into practice.

We would be really happy if you join our efforts, be it in the form of donations, volunteering or sharing the word about our work. For more information, check out our website: https://www.pen-paper-peace.org/english.html

Thank you for being a part of PEN PAPER PEACE!

Kindest regards,

Nora, Lisa, Luca, Verena, Milena, Felix, Vivi, Verena, Denise, Janine, Peter, Alissa, Malin, Sonja, Janine, Giovanna, Lina, Felicia and Jana from PEN PAPER PEACE e.V.
