Simeon Can Now Study Safely With A Solar Powered Light
By Sylvester Renner | Project Leader
Simeon with his grandfater
Dear Project Supporters,
Your support has helped us provide solar power and technology to students who had to rely on dangerous kerosene lamps previously to study at night. One of the students who received a solar light is Simeon.
Simeon is nine years old and is a pupil of the Vickrays Community Primary School. He is in class three (3rd grade). He lives in a house with no electricity or running water. He is pictured with his grandfather showing his new solar light. Simeon is a hard working student who is now able to study at night. He would like to be a lawyer when he grows up. He likes to play football and enjoys music - especially drumming.
Simeon was delighted to receive a solar light. Simeon expressed his thanks and appreciation for the light that has changed his world. Thank you for helping make a difference in Simeon's life.
Please join us in making 2017 brighter and safer by providing solar power and technology to other students in need. Thanks so much for your support.
With great appreciation,
The Develop Africa Team

Solar Light Gift Makes Studying Possible for Aminata
By Sylvester Renner | Project Leader
Aminata holding her new solar light
Dear Project Supporters,
Your generous support provided Aminata with a solar light, which makes a significant improvement on her ability to study at night.
Please see Aminata's letter of appreciation. In her letter, Aminata says:
"My name is Aminata and I am 15 years old. Due to where I live electricity is not available. Whenever I want to study I find it very difficult, because it is only when the generator is switched on that I will study well. But with the help of Develop Africa's light, I know that I can study now even if the generator is not on. Thank you Develop Africa for this wonderful gift"
Solar lights, along with other forms of solar powered technology, are effectively enabling students who have no electricity to study. The lights remove this crucial roadblock for the children.
We greatly appreciate your helping Aminata and look forward to your continued support in providing more students with solar lights.
With great appreciation,
The Develop Africa Team

See your Impact - a solar light in use
By Sylvester Renner | Project Leader
This family is so grateful for your generosity
Dear project partners
We are so very excited about the opportunity that this project brings - to empower lives through solar power and technology.
Technology holds a vital key in that it can be used positively to open doors of opportunity. Technology can solve or alleviate real life and everyday problems.
For many thousands in the developing world, power cuts and "black outs" are part of life - happening every week. Many thousands of other homes are not connected to the electrical grid. These homes do not have any power at all and they depend on fossil fuels and consumable energy sources to light their homes.
Technology is the game changer that is touching and making a difference in the lives of these kids. Through our solar light gifts, kids are now able to read and do homework safely at night.
Please watch the following linked video showing children studying with the use of the solar lights. The families were so thankful to receive these solar lights- https://youtu.be/tZlCpG2YWJA.
Thank you again for partnering with us to bring solar power to the families in need.
With great appreciation,
The Develop Africa Team
