Dear Supporter,
At The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs (NSPPL), our mission is to help individuals who have faced unimaginable challenges regain their independence and sense of hope. Ahmed, a young man in his twenties from rural Idlib, is one such individual. Ten years ago, while returning from school, Ahmed lost his left leg below the knee due to an airstrike on his village. Since then, he has faced many hardships, including the stigma and isolation often experienced by amputees.
Ahmed visited our NSPPL center in Al-Bab, where he received physical therapy to strengthen his residual limb, preparing him for a suitable prosthetic. He was then fitted with a prosthetic limb and trained in its use, allowing him to walk independently. With restored mobility, Ahmed is now determined to find work to support himself and his family.
Your support enables us to transform the lives of individuals like Ahmed, helping them regain their confidence, mobility, and aspirations for the future. Thank you for being part of this journey.
With heartfelt appreciation,
