In the quarter January to April, 2017 the organization managed to execute the following;
Challenges
Testimony from one beneficiary
this testimony is from Timothy the son of late Timothy of Kabweri Sub County in Kibuku district, Eastern Uganda. Timothy is a 15 year old boy who is living with his Auntie because the mother is helpless. Timothy was working for his aunt to sell chapatti in Kabweri trading center on the boda boda stage and he had dropped out of school. The project leader counseled him to go back to school such that he could complete senior four, Timothy refused saying he lacks money to finance his education because he is helpless and what he labors for is what he eats. He further said he was comfortable of his life because in that he could at least earn something each day to make his life easy and secure some money for himself. The team leader visited his home where they had deep conversation with his aunt. The conversation was successful in that Timothy accepted to go back to school and his Aunt requested for help from the Organization. The boy himself asked the organization to provide to him with a sustainable income generation project in order for him to secure sustainable incomes to pay his school dues. The organization provided him with a she goat in February this year and trained him in goats’ management. Timothy is now in senior three and he promised to join a vocational school after his senior four. The story explains the work of KADO in relation to our project of supporting 320 OVCs with improved goats in Uganda.
