Changing our daily routines to practice “social distancing” and stop the spread of the coronavirus leaves many of us feeling alone and powerless. The virus also puts many livelihoods at risk, creating anxiety and fear. In Italy, one of the hardest hit countries, friends of The Virtues ProjectTM have been creating “Virtues Circles” to begin to share how the virtues can bring inner peace to those going through hard times.
Your donations made this possible by funding the creation of an Italian translation of the Virtues Cards. The cards were delivered a couple of months ago. This amazing experience would not have been available to these Italians without your support.
And even more importantly, these initiatives to bring endurance and comfort to Italians facing coronavirus are the result of the enthusiasm and determination of ONE Virtues Project Facilitator with a vision for creating a better world through practices of virtues. It is a prime example of how each one of us can make an impact in the world.
From the facilitator who made this project happen: “I am grateful for the support I have received from Virtues Project International Association over the three years I have been envisioning the Virtue Cards being manifested and used here in Italy. Our strength comes from our unity of vision and commitment to making a difference. What a labor of love, service, sacrifice and endurance from so many to be able to model caring, helpfulness and optimism for a better tomorrow.”
This is just one example of how your donations are making a difference in the world. It reminds us of the quote from Frederick Buechner: "Our calling is where our deepest gladness and the world's hunger meet." VPIA initiatives aim to continue to drive these constantly evolving and innovating into new places to reach even more people
You matter! Your contributions Ignite Virtues Globally and help spread knowledge and practices of virtues where they can make a difference.
And in the words of this facilitator in Italy: May THE FORCE be with us all during these challenging times.
