Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue strengthening local networks that can help communities recognize and report health concerns.
Community members, local leaders, teachers, transport workers, volunteers, and caregivers can all play a role in identifying unusual health events and communicating concerns promptly.
Our work encourages these community actors to remain alert without creating unnecessary fear. The objective is early communication, not speculation.
Strong community surveillance can help health authorities investigate alerts more quickly and identify potential transmission chains.
WHO recently highlighted community-based surveillance as an important component of strengthening the Ebola response in the DRC.
Your contribution is helping communities become an important part of the early-warning system that protects them.
