To the generous donors of our GlobalGiving Art Exploration Campaign,
The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum focuses on Science, Technology, Reading and wRiting, Engineering, Art, Math (STREAM) based learning through family engagement and play. We strive to incorporate the arts through programming and interactive exhibits. Our art exploration campaign includes a Music Exploration Corner and we are pleased to report that your charitable contributions helped us improve safety features for this popular exhibit.
Making music enhances fine and large motor skills and builds brain and body coordination. Families enhance communication skills while strengthening bonds in playing music together. The funds you provided covered the cost of a cable management system to safely secure the electrical cords needed to power our electronic drum set. Further, donations have helped offset the cost of a variety of disinfectant supplies needed to clean and maintain the entire music corner.
The art exploration campaign is ongoing and our Music Exploration Corner exhibit continues to be a beloved place for families to make music together. Since the onset of this art exploration fundraising initiative over 500 visitors have engaged with the Music Exploration Corner. Thank you for helping us help families Explore, Play, Discover, in a safe environment.
Sincerely,
The VICM Team
