Dear project supporters,
COVID-19 has been on the rise in Sierra Leone and it is mandatory to wear a mask when in public transports, marketplaces, places of worship, schools, and all other public places. This policy is being enforced by the Sierra Leone authorities. Although the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19, according to medical practitioners the wearing a face mask, especially when close to others, is imperative to slowing the spread of COVID-19.
Thanks in part to your support, 1000 new masks were distributed to students in Freetown, Bo, Makeni, & Kamawornie. Each student received 5 new cloth masks to wear at school and in public to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We greatly appreciate your ongoing support that makes it possible to provide families in need in Freetown with healthy meals, masks, and hand sanitizer/soap.
Thank you for helping to meet this important practical need. We greatly appreciate your continued support in saving lives and stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Warmest Regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
