When Smiles from Within a Tent
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

During our recent field visit deep into the IDP camps, in one of the most affected and harshest areas, we met Khaled. It wasn’t just a meeting; it was a true encounter with the meaning of persistence. Despite the worn-out canvas of his modest tent, Khaled welcomed us with a warmth that defied the cramped space, and with an enthusiasm that reminded us why we are here and why our partnership with you is the only lifeline for these children.
Khaled, an orphaned child who has faced bitterness from loss and displacement that even mountains could not bear, amazed us with his extraordinary energy. He didn't speak of scarcity or cold; instead, his entire conversation revolved around the "power of knowledge" and his passion for learning. Seeing this unwavering determination in the eyes of a child living in the heart of suffering is a profound experience—proof that a soul yearning for knowledge cannot be broken.
Khaled’s story is the natural extension of Masarat’s mission, and a living reminder that:
-
Your Generosity is the Bridge: Without your dedication, we would not have been able to reach these most vulnerable and marginalized groups deep within the camps.
-
Collective Effort Creates Change: We do not just provide books; we build a future and restore souls that were on the verge of being extinguished. Khaled’s story is the "witness" that every contribution from you translates immediately into tangible hope and a driving force for an entire generation.
Our Partners on GlobalGiving: Your continuous support is what allows us to reach Khaled and others like him. You are not just donors; you are partners in "crafting change" and building a new future for these children who refuse to give up. Thank you for giving Khaled a reason to believe that his tomorrow will be brighter.

Ahmed..A Long and Beautiful Story with Masarat
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

"I have managed to take my first steps, and here I am on my way to achieving my dream." With these words full of confidence, Ahmed, an orphaned student, summarizes a story of resilience that began behind the harsh walls of displacement. For Ahmed, returning to school was not just resuming missed lessons; it was reclaiming his identity and ambition, which had nearly evaporated due to living conditions that forced him to drop out.
Ahmed’s story with "Masarat" is not a recent development, but rather a cumulative journey of success:
-
The Beginning and the Bridge: Ahmed joined us during his middle school years, finding in Masarat the educational support that compensated for the loss of his breadwinner and the destruction of physical schools.
-
Continuity: Thanks to his determination and your support, Ahmed passed middle school with excellence. Today, he continues his journey for the second consecutive year in High School, setting his sights on university gates to transform from a child chasing a dream into a young man building it with his own hands.
What distinguishes your donations is not only providing books and lessons but also the deep psychological and social impact they leave on the lives of Ahmed and his peers. Because of you:
-
Breaking the Barriers of Despair: Ahmed was able to overcome the obstacles that stood in his way for years, transforming "educational interruption" into a "strong start."
-
Investing in Sustainability: We do not offer a temporary solution; instead, we accompany the orphan for years (as in Ahmed's case) to ensure they reach the safety of professional and cognitive stability.
Our Partners at GlobalGiving Your continuous support is the engine that makes stories like Ahmed's possible. You are contributing to building a "connected future" for our students, where education does not stop at a certain stage but extends to be a comprehensive journey of empowerment. Together, we will continue our journey to support every orphaned student, and we will remain sharing these wonderful stories that prove that investing in humans is the greatest investment of all. Thank you for being part of Ahmed's journey toward the light.

100 New Enrollees in the Skills Track
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader
![]()
During the first half of March, 100 orphaned and displaced students joined the "Skills Track" sessions. This rush toward learning reflects our students' solid will to transform challenges into opportunities and acquire the practical tools that ensure an independent and sustainable future for them.
Why is the Skills Track important at "Masarat"? We believe that academic education alone is not enough in a challenging environment like the one our students live in. Therefore, the Skills Track was designed to be:
-
A Bridge to the Labor Market: The track generally aims to equip students with modern skills that enable them to rely on themselves financially and professionally, transforming them from aid recipients into active contributors to their communities.
-
A Tool for Psychological and Social Resilience: The track focuses on building an "initiative mindset" in orphans, helping them adapt to harsh displacement conditions with a creative vision capable of finding solutions.
-
An Investment in "Soft Power": Through this track, we seek to build a well-rounded personality for the student, enabling them to communicate, lead, and innovate in a fast-paced digital world.
Strategic Impact: This track aims to break the cycle of poverty inherited as a result of wars by giving orphans the "weapon of skills" that no one can take away from them. The attendance of 100 new students in just two weeks is evidence of their awareness that the future is built by the hand that masters the skill and the mind that possesses the tools of the era.
Our Partners at GlobalGiving Your continuous support is the engine that makes this empowerment possible. Because of you, we do not just teach our students "what" to think, but "how" to build their futures with their own hands. You are contributing to transforming the lives of these orphans from waiting to initiative, and from a sense of helplessness to the power of empowerment.
