Dear Friends
We thank you for the support that you've continuously shown us and it is our delight that we are writing this report to show the work that we are doing. This report is going to cover the progress made for July, August and September. During July 2021, we fed 606 children, the month of August 2021 we fed 480 children and during September 2021 we fed 544 children, therefore for the three months we managed to feed a total of 1630 community children.
Based on our data analysis, there was a drop in the number of children fed compared to the previous three months simply because the school were opened and some children had gone back to school. Despite the few challenges that were faced during the feeding, we received community volunteers who help in cooking and serving the children, this made it easier to feed the children. there are also plans to increase the number of volunteers in the organisation this will increase the level of community participation and increase the sense of belonging.
There is also the introduction of activities for the children who take meals at the centre. These activities aim to improve their cognitive skills and socialization skills, the activities include chess, scrabble, darts, dancing, and drawing. Currently, we are in the process of building a kitchen where meals will be cooked and served. We are also searching for partnerships with organisations that share similar programs with us. The plans are underway to expand the centre so that we can feed more children from neighbouring towns and cities.
