Nutrition is the backbone of any thriving community. From the outside, our work may sometimes look like a routine activity—serving meals, gathering mothers, measuring children. But from within, it is something far deeper. It is a calling. A daily commitment to stand with the community at its most vulnerable point—when hunger, health, and hope intersect.
And in this journey, we are not alone. You—our GlobalGiving donors—have walked with us faithfully. You have held our hands when the need felt overwhelming. You have supported us beyond expectation, and for that, we are deeply grateful. You chose us among many, and you have continued to trust us with your resources.
We want you to know: The NGAO Foundation will not let you down.
Introduction
This report highlights activities implemented under our Food and Nutrition Program from January to March 2026. The program focuses on pregnant and lactating mothers and children, ensuring improved nutrition, healthier lives, and stronger futures.
Our Commitment
During this quarter, we remained focused on:
Children Feeding Program
Every Saturday, the Centre comes alive. Over 300 children gather weekly, each one welcomed, each one fed. No child is turned away. From toddlers to older vulnerable youth, every plate served is a statement: you matter.
During school holidays, when vulnerability increases, feeding becomes daily—because hunger does not wait for school calendars.
Supporting Mothers, Nurturing Generations
Our Pregnant and Lactating Mothers Program continues to be a pillar of hope.
Beyond food, we walk alongside these mothers through:
This is where prevention meets care—where mothers are empowered, not just supported.
Building Continuity Through Cohorts
We are currently implementing our 5th cohort, running through May 2026.
Each cohort represents:
Importantly, we continue follow-up care for past participants—ensuring no one is left behind once a cycle ends.
Monitoring Growth, Protecting Futures
We conducted regular growth monitoring for children, including:
These are not just numbers—they are early warning systems, helping us identify and respond to malnutrition before it becomes life-threatening.
Key Achievements
This quarter, together with you, we achieved:
Challenges We Face
Even with progress, challenges remain:
These are not barriers—but reminders of how much more can be done.
The Way Forward
To deepen our impact, we are focusing on:
Closing Reflection
What may look like routine from the outside is, in truth, a lifeline. A meal served is a child’s strength restored. A mother supported is a generation protected. A community nourished is a future secured.
This work is intentional. It is personal. It is transformational.
And it is only possible because of you. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for standing with this community. Thank you for making impact not just possible—but sustainable.
