School Holidays!

Tamar Outing to Sheep Farm
Tamar Outing to Sheep Farm

Greetings from Thailand!

Last week the yearly school holidays started in Thailand and the kids are very happy that they are now off until the beginning of May. Tamar Center is still open as normal - we only close in mid-April for the yearly Thai New Year Festival called Songkran. This means that in the moment we have every day a couple of the mothers helping out in our Nursery. On some days we have up to 12 children in the Nursery and we have split them during the day into two groups - the younger and the older and have different people looking after them.

We are very grateful to the support from Regent International School here in Pattaya, who have adopted our children this year as their social project. They donated a number of toys and supplies for the kids and also raised money. With this money we are taking the kids on three different outings during the school holidays and last Friday they went to the local Sheep Farm to splay with she sheep and enjoy the playground. They had a lot of fun.

We are also very thankful for all your support as in this weeks also all the Mums are coming to us to collect money for the yearly school fees and new Uniforms that have to be payed either at the end of the term or until the start of the next term. Thank to your generosity, all the costs for the kids are covered! Thank you!

Two of our children are making the big step from kindergarten to real school and they have to work a little bit extra during the holidays as they have a two-week introduction course into school life and we are looking forward to see how they will do in the next year.

Have a great week and thank you for your continued support!
