PROVIDE A HOME TO 150 DISABLED CHILDREN IN INDIA

By Balajothi Bangalore | Project Leader

Provide a home to 150 disabled children in India

Project #24535 from Balajothi Centre for the Disabled

Funding goal - $75000 / Funds raised to date - $5637.75

Project report due on : Jan 22, 2021 / Report sent on Jan 23, 2021

The continuous increase in number of special children has posed a challenge to society in providing permanent respite care to severely disabled children. These children are in dire need of life-time care and support without which they will surely perish. This type of care is long term and quite expensive.  Most of the families are economically backward and lack the resources required to provide the right care.  It is unfortunate and inhuman that most of these children are kept locked up in their homes and lead miserable lives.

Setting up a dedicated self-sustainable, fully fledged residential facility shall provide 24/7 care for children with special needs, in a sheltered environment away from the stressful and frenetic city life, in unpolluted surroundings, and leading happy and uncluttered lives among an eco-friendly support system. This facility will engage in various therapies and training for these children in self help skills that will enable them to lead satisfied and independent lives.

The residential facility shall provide much relief to families as they will be assured of a safe abode to these children. The atmosphere and system specially designed in this facility would give an opportunity to these differently-abled children to experience freedom and live the rest of their lives in happiness. This also answers the frequently asked question of 'what happens after me' by many a deeply anguished parent of such disabled children.

Balajothi thanks YOU DONOR from the bottom of our hearts for your selfless and sacrificial giving of $5637.75 to date towards  this noble cause of providing a safe haven to abandoned under privileged children .  Your giving is all the more commendable during this COVID-19 pandemic and we thank you all the more for your generosity.  Your continued contribution will surely change the life of many an abandoned child. God bless you.

Balajothi thanks GlobalGiving for their continuous and commendable support in raising funds for this noble cause.  May your endeavors result in helping more and more needy children at Balajothi and elsewhere. God bless you GlobalGiving !!
