Happy Spring Season to San Jose!

By Luis Henrriquez | Volunteer, Mensajeros del Mundo

San José, our home for elderly women, just celebrated and welcomed its spring season.
As Opposed to the northern part of the world, here in Argentina, the seasons are the other way around, we have winter when over the U.S. or Europe there is summer, and we have spring when over there is autumn, although the order is obviously the same. At the end we do like to party too, no matter how many years there are, Spring Party is always a boastful party in which we celebrate our youth no matter how many years we have.

So, just recently happened one of the most expected and anticipated parties of the year for our guesses. All the ladies happily celebrated and some even danced to the coming of spring season with their families, friends and sidekicks. A colorful party that shows that how much energy these ladies have, with costumes, competitions, live music, food and drinks on all tables. It even had a Greece-folk dance performed by some of the ladies with its dance professor and some young friends, how surprising to see them dancing like those every time faster upbeat songs. Our young volunteers also took part in it, making an even more joyful party, dancing, talking, taking pictures and helping on everything was going on.
The day was amazing, said by the attendees and the ladies themselves. A great start for a season. More days like these will come again. Look at the pictures and see what a great day it was!
