October and November were very special months, Mensajeros de la Paz celebrated the "Month of the Elderly" with several activities carried out by the elders of the Club de Día and the Residence “San José”.
One of them was a Creative Artistic workshop where many elders participated during the year and, as a closing of the program, they filmed a parody entitled "Matrics", from a well-known film. They themselves were the protagonists. It was a very fun activity, where you could see that, despite the age a person may have, creativity and the desire to have fun are never over.
Then, accompanied by family and friends, we enjoyed the premiere of the film. The applauses and joy soon arrived. The jokes, laughter and enjoyment were present throughout the day, as anecdotes of the filming were revived and reflected, in this way, on the need to increase the contribution of the elderly in their families, communities and societies.
The elderly were very expectant to carry out a similar project next year, a situation that renews their hopes, strengthens their self-esteem and ties between them, their families and our Organization.
