The first confirmed COVID-19 case in Mali was on March 25th, 2020. Since then, COVID-19 has continued to be a prevalent and infectious virus that requires a consistent supply of medical supplies and expertise.
There is no escaping the effects of COVID-19. However, it remains very clear that those most affected by the virus are those who are most vulnerable. This includes populations such as those in Sikoro who live in underserved areas that lack proper healthcare infrastructure, as well as individuals who are HIV+, and therefore immunocompromised.
In order to remain ahead of the curve and properly equipped to serve our local communities in Mali, we need more medical supplies such as masks, gowns, gloves, thermometers, and disinfectant in order to protect our staff and patients. We are actively working alongside doctors to design approaches in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and provide adequate testing.
Our fight against the spread of COVID-19 in local communities in Mali would not be possible without your support. With a donation of $10, you would be providing our staff with a box of gloves, essential in working with infected patients. With a donation of $25, you would be providing local doctors and clinics with a box of masks, which would help to greatly reduce the spread of COVID-19 amongst our dedicated specialists and patients alike. For a generous donation of $80, you would be providing a consistent supply of disinfectant, a necessity for our diligent staff who are working day and night to ensure the safety and health of patients in need of our care.
We are incredibly grateful for your support during these unprecedented times. It is with YOUR help that we are able to come together to support those most vulnerable to this lethal virus through medical supplies and specialized care.
