On 26th of July, the people of living near the Sundarbans mangroves forest celebrated World mangrove day 2023. The program was organized by BEDS and the it was divided into two sessions. In the first part a discussion session was done with the local community where they discuss about the importance of mangroves and how can mangroves act as coastal protection against any tropical storm. In the 2nd part 100 mangroves were planted along the river bank side. Almost 40 local people including the women and youth were participated in that celebration.
